Given its continued growth, SCI is looking to add a Financial Administrator to its new start up e-commerce site that will be operating in the SE Foothills industrial area.

Working closely with the HR and operations team, this position will provide the Calgary location with strong financial administrative support. In addition, this position will provide payroll support to employees. This position will have a solid line reporting relationship with the Director of Operations and dotted line reporting to Director of Human Resources

Your responsibilities will include:
1. This position contributes to and supports the provision of financial support and Operations Admin support for their Distribution Centre.
2. This role will perform primary duties and provide support to HR colleagues, Operations and SCI staff to ensure the maintenance of high service levels to our external and internal customers.

1. Administrative/Financial Duties
1.1. Develop, maintain and produce a weekly financial reporting package for the client related to all aspects of the operation
1.2. Utilize the data available and trends to produce weekly and month end accruals for anticipated expenses
1.3. Generate a monthly invoice to the client along with the supporting financial/management reporting package
1.4. Work with operations and finance teams to ensure month end close is accomplished consistently within 4 business days
1.5. Assist operations in producing monthly financial analysis of actual to budget results.
1.6. Ordering, organizing and maintaining supplies using Office Max
1.7. General housekeeping duties for the front office
1.8. Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts
1.9. Other administrative duties as required
2. Payroll Duties
2.1. Complete entries of employees time to ESS timekeeping system on a daily basis
2.2. Ensure all TL’s are approving the time entered on a regular
2.3. Meeting all payroll deadlines for tasks and reports as requested by HRIS Head Office
2.4. Complete requested payroll reports for management
2.5. Assist employees with payroll concerns and questions
2.6. Assist in rate increases for all hourly staff

3. Operations Support
3.1. Assisting in data entry as requested by the operations team
3.2. Running reports for operations managers and TL’s
3.3. Analyzing of reports for the operations team
3.4. Ordering and maintaining the distribution centers supplies and maintenance requirements
3.5. Other operational duties as required

4. Employee Relations
4.1. Through on-going and regular positive interaction with our Calgary staff.
4.2. Respond to employee questions and inquiries as required
4.3. Ensure that Company policies are being followed and that all issues are dealt with in a fair and professional manner

5. Other Duties as Required

Skill Requirements

Proficiency with all operations systems including SAP and MS office applications
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience are a must
Experience with budgeting and P&L
Extremely organized and capable of multi-tasking and remaining calm under stressful circumstances
A demonstrated ability to work in a team based environment
Must be flexible with work schedules
High degree of diplomacy and professionalism
Excellent OC skills including exel and word

Preferred Qualifications

Post-Secondary education in business administration or accounting and/or previous relating experience (CGA, CMA an asset)
Previous experience in a 3PL environment an asset
SAP experience an asset
