Work Setting: Aluminum plant, Foundry
Supervisory Experience: Central control and process operators, mineral and metal processing, Machine operators, mineral and metal processing, Foundry workers
Specific Skills: Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities, Establish work schedules, Recommend work measures to improve productivity and product quality, Set up machines and equipment
Additional Skills: Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies, Prepare production and other reports, Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators.
Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
