Rullingnet, creators of VINCI, are looking to fill a position in the R&D Engineering group for an upcoming contract in our Ottawa studio.
You must be available to work full-time in house.The position is for an individual who will join the R&D team and work to implement the next generation features of the VINCI tablet. This person would be expected to come up to speed quickly on the VINCI software development process and be able to contribute to the VINCI Classroom Intelligence System Server and User Interface development. They would also participate in the system verification of the product to guarantee that it meets the specified requirements. The candidate will need to be a self-starter with the ability to take the project from initial concept through high volume deployment.

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
-Excellent understanding and practical use of OOD methodology and tools
-Strong experience with Java, LINUX/UNIX, and SQL
-3 years experience designing and developing REST web applications, including user interface and backend servlet construction
-Experience with ORM, Java EE, TomCat, Apache server or similar application servers
-Innovative thinking especially for advanced request/response processing and large database management
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with development teams off-site and overseas are essential
-Development and implementation of web based front end and database-linked backend
-Application, user interface and servlet development in Java using REST services, JSP, and Java Scripts
-Application development, deployment, and support
