Pros: variety of work. getting the customer their equipment in a timely manner.
Cons: meeting customer demands, when you don't have what they are looking for.or when your delivery time is off.
delivering for a busy rental company was challenging as well as rewarding ,timing is everything in this business.When the customer calls you have to be ready to move fast to fill and deliver an order.in a typical day you would always try to get things done early and have the equipment ready to go out on rent and the truck ready to do the delivery. Get to work have morning safety meeting then start our work day. We had a lot of rental equipment so there was always something broken. When a call came threw on a peace of equipment that was not ready, you would have to drop what you were doing and get it ready. A nice thing was you had someone to get the parts needed to get the equipment ready. The – more... hardest part of the job was the back order on parts and the rental lose.
