Royal LePage Ottawa is currently seeking an IT Manager to manage operations for offices in the greater Ottawa Area. The incumbent will lead the internal support team and be responsible for all Technology needs for this company of 1000 employees and 25+ offices.
Responsibilities:
Deliver to all users technical services with a very high level of customer satisfaction
Plan, develop, and manage Technology used throughout the enterprise, including Servers, Workstation, Printers, Switches and VOIP systems
Assist senior management with the direction and facilitation of IT strategic and tactical planning.
Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases.
Stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization, business partners, and/or customers.
Technical Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Based Technologies including Windows XP/7, Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, IIS, Exchange, SharePoint & SQL Server
Minimum 3 years’ experience with Virtualization technologies and Concepts such as VMware ESX Server, Storage Networks, ISCSI SANs
Minimum 3 years’ experience with networking technologies including VLANs, Load Balancing, Routing protocols, Wireless AP’s and troubleshooting IP networks
Experience with HP Procurve, Barracuda & Fortinet would be considered an asset
Non-Technical Requirements
Experience as a team lead, managing team members, customer accounts and projects.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision
Well developed interpersonal skiils with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and concepts to both Technical and Non-Technical audiences
Ability to complete work outside of normal business hours to facilitate system upgrades and new deployments.
Educational background to support technical expertise
Daily access to a vehicle required
Remuneration
$50,000 - $65,000 per annum commensurate with experience
