Software Engineer ("Rocket Scientist")

Full-time, permanent position

We’re hiring engineers to build ad-serving, bidding, modeling and data infrastructure built using a mix of proprietary and open-source technologies. We’re looking for those excited about working on tough problems related to scalable, reliable, available algorithms, machine learning & software systems that scale.

Job Duties

- Explore billions of records, research and develop predictive models and optimization algorithms
for ad targeting and bidding on Ad Exchanges
- Implement these models and algorithms, leveraging grid computing on Hadoop and Hive
- Work with our Analysts and Marketing teams to understand client goals, and work with
Engineering team to turn research into products

- Ability to be a factor in a business where for a data scientist a 10% algorithm improvement can
mean 10% incremental net revenues instantly

Skill and Education Requirements

- M.S. at minimum or foreign equivalent in computer science/ mathematics/ related fields
- Experience with hadoop/ hive/Pig or MySQL or EC2
- Strong skills in C/C++ or Java or Linux
- Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques, and
object-oriented programming. Structured thinker, effective communicator, excellent programming and analytic skills
-Experience analyzing data
