Right at Home is currently seeking Personal Care Providers (PSWs), Nursing students and Companion Caregivers for days, evenings, weekends and overnights in the London area.
Candidates must have:
- Police Criminal Reference Check
- Police Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate
- TD (Tetanus, Diptheria)
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diptheria, Pertussis)
- MMR (Mumps, Measles, Rubella)
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis A
- TB Test
- Chest X-Ray (if possible)
- Influenza Vaccine (most recent)
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with the support of your team
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Must be physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of caregiving
- Must be passionate, patient, caring and committed
- Dementia certification an asset, or willing to train
Ideal candidates have a friendly personality, patience, a consistently positive attitude, and the ability to communicate well with clients of all types, both one-on-one and in groups.
