Richards-Wilcox Canada has an immediate opening for a License Electrician to join our Maintenance Team. This is a permanent opportunity.
In a manufacturing environment, the incumbent will work hand in hand with other members of the maintenance department and business team. Minimizing downtime and helping to increase productivity are the key goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintenance:
Perform electrical installations and modifications
Work with DC and AC motors, punch press and variable AC and DC drives
Troubleshoot mechanical issues if first on breakdown site (without schematics). Perform necessary repairs
Work with operators to diagnose issues on manufacturing equipment and implement solutions
Carry out preventive maintenance programs and follow up work requests for repairs in a timely manner
Identify and implement production improvements and savings
Other:
Provide support to all members of the maintenance team
Willing to offer assistance to other work stations when required
May be require to work shifts
Any other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or maintenance supervisor

A professional demeanor complemented with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to solve problems and multi-task. Detail oriented with a strong sense of priority. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Self-motivated.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
5 years of working as a licensed electrician in a manufacturing environment
A 442 A or 309 A license is required
Familiar with preventive maintenance programs
Experience with voltage of up to 600v and up to 1000 amps.
PLC experience is an asset
Minimum Class III safety implementations experience
Good oral/written communication in English
