Server (Former Employee) – Saskatoon, SK – 8 July 2013
The best part about working at Revera - The Bentley, was my co-workers and the residents. My first 6 years of employment were fantastic - the last 2.5, not so great, but, I believe that this work setting is a great first job - and I was happy to meet many great people who I now consider friends.
A typical day was spent serving the residents meals, general clean-up, some food prep, and prep for the next day.
Technical Support Analyst (Former Employee) – Cambridge, ON – 22 March 2017
If you are starting out in health/elderly care this place is ok to get experience. Not the best pay unless you work higher up in executive offices. Most of the execs are overpaid and treat the company as if it's their own to do with.
Encouraging Environment meant to allow employees advance and learn.
Communications Intern (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 21 March 2017
In August of 2016, I interned at Revera Inc. with their communications team. The internship was designed to allow interns to explore different divisions (external PR, internal communications, Innovations division etc.) We were responsible for small jobs (putting together statements for the company's internal website, creating excel spreadsheets on Revera's homes, PowerPoint presentations) and were given the opportunity to sit in on communication team meetings. It was an amazing opportunity in an environment that fostered and encouraged growth and personal incentive in its employees
Dietary Aide/Cook (Former Employee) – Saskatoon, SK – 13 March 2017
residents are terrific like they usually are, and it's a pleasure to be in their home, but the management is not worth it. they do not care for any staff other than management themselves and they don't care if you quit they don't value anyone, everyone is replaceable. concerns are not heard or they are dismissed or else swept under the rug. the amount of work you have to do is not equivalent to the amount of time you have. you can be perfect in every way but still would never be treated the way an employee should be treated.
Food Service Manager Intern (Former Employee) – Oakville, ON – 9 March 2017
there is no manger and staff, only friends. We help each other if needed. the working environment is energetic. My manager is fantastic. She always cook lunch for us, and know how to communicate with others.
old employee (Former Employee) – Amherstview, ON – 8 March 2017
Worst place to work lack of staffing Management SUCKS I would go elsewhere if I were you...You will hate it there as no communication so lack of!!! Staff back bite all the time while others have their nose shoved up managements A***......You will hate your job there the care is nil its the outside agency that comes in and does all the work there...So reconsider and apply anywhere else but there..
Manager (Former Employee) – Mississauga – 5 March 2017
Revera is very hit and miss at their support office. There are great people and some wonderful managers but too much inconsistency and preferential treatment in work/life balance and job security. Very high turnover and lack of commitment to strategy means a lot of knee jerk reactions and long lapses in direction. Very poor communication between departments means a big disconnect between senior management and the front line worker. No one is being heard.
Nurse (Current Employee) – Ottawa, ON – 28 January 2017
The team is always devided by department. Never enough staff to cover shifts. Corporate always cutting hours and not giving the tools we need to do the work. Residents are left alone for long times if we are busy with another resident and we can not spend the time needed to take care of the resident properly.
Fun place to be with excellent staff and relaxe environment to work at

assistant (Former Employee) – Ottawa East, ON – 21 December 2016
It's a place for lazy people if you work you actually get in trabule. Seen as a suck up to the boss yet you just doing your job. Poor mangement, staff are burned out , a fried to say something because they will get fired, and if you do stand up for what you belive in you taken to the office. Lazy people have time to report people and gets away with it instead you are left with lots of stress.
Pcard Administrator (Current Employee) – Cambridge, ON – 18 October 2016
I love working for the Revera Support Office. There are so many opportunities for advancement and it is a great team to work with. They appreciate work/life balance and for the most part the wages are fair.
Duty Manager (Current Employee) – Swift Current, SK – 19 September 2016
Always hearing negative feedback from our residents about other staff and building conditions. Shift duties are extremely unbalanced. Managment doesn't take in the feedback form his/ her employees causing a problem keeping workers.
Bizarre experience, very odd patchwork of not real management
reg staff (Former Employee) – Kitchener, ON – 18 September 2016
very strange place, way too much paper work and way too little resident care, management was a revolving door of grossly disgusting humans who think they are super stars yet do not have a clue, one obese manger walked around swearing all the time but would judge her "staff" like she was the best role model, all staff hated it there but stayed for the money knowing management would rotate in less than a year, or die of obesity, avoid this place, run
I learned how to check water temperatures(Hot/Cold),working in the boiler/mechanical rooms.
Maintenance, Housekeeping and Kitchen (Current Employee) – Medicine Hat, AB – 9 September 2016
It was a good place to work as casual in maintenance, but, when the two Co-workers came back to work(that I was replacing),I was asked to work in the Maintenance Department, Kitchen,Laundry, and the Housekeeping Departments. that was Mandatory. I was not found of that idea. I have tried working in the Maintenance,Kitchen, and Housekeeping Departments.
