Supervisor (Current Employee) – Winnipeg, MB – 4 May 2017
- National Company, allows for Policy and Protocols to be standard, yet there is still room for individuality - Focus is on residents and services available - Ongoing Education and Training opportunities are manditory and staff are also able to request/access outside training opportunities that are made availble - Staff have opportunity to make suggestions relating to themselves and the services - There is alot of involvement in community awareness - Staff appreciation including events are provided on a regular basis are - Benefit Packages are better than average - Wages could be increased, but as it is a Private company, is not regulated in the same manner as Government funded/regualted
Manager (Current Employee) – Ottawa, ON – 20 April 2017
Expectations are astronomical and pay is far less than a position with much less responsibility in the public system. Expectations to be on call 24/7 with little to no money for staff and budgeting to run a building that should be five star. Non-stop complaints from residents that are paying huge sums of money. Corporate has placed the management in these buildings in a position to fail by providing zero budget. Terrible place to work. Most managers only work to gain the experience and then leave - leading to a revolving door syndrome.
Staff and managers who are working hard to attempt to keep company afloat.
LPN (Current Employee) – Calgary, AB – 18 April 2017
Great place to work. Great people as personalities and professionals. Feel belonging to the place. Management is great, always willing to hear you and make efficient changes if needed. Happy to work here.
Reception (Current Employee) – North York, ON – 17 April 2017
Management tries their best to keep employees happy: however, because its unionize employees that are better workers don't get the opportunity to advance and excel in their abilities and skills. now enough growth and opportunities within the company if you are a good worker because they want to hold on to the better workers.
Personal Support Worker (Former Employee) – Renfrew, ON – 30 March 2017
Terrible place, when providing care for people you want to work for a company that cares as well. In my eyes Revera does not care about their employees and/or clients. I would say some of the psw's care, but when you go to upper management they are all paper pushers and just hacking away waiting for their day to end. Very unorganized.
Technical Support Analyst (Former Employee) – Cambridge, ON – 22 March 2017
If you are starting out in health/elderly care this place is ok to get experience. Not the best pay unless you work higher up in executive offices. Most of the execs are overpaid and treat the company as if it's their own to do with.
Encouraging Environment meant to allow employees advance and learn.
Communications Intern (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 21 March 2017
In August of 2016, I interned at Revera Inc. with their communications team. The internship was designed to allow interns to explore different divisions (external PR, internal communications, Innovations division etc.) We were responsible for small jobs (putting together statements for the company's internal website, creating excel spreadsheets on Revera's homes, PowerPoint presentations) and were given the opportunity to sit in on communication team meetings. It was an amazing opportunity in an environment that fostered and encouraged growth and personal incentive in its employees
Dietary Aide/Cook (Former Employee) – Saskatoon, SK – 13 March 2017
residents are terrific like they usually are, and it's a pleasure to be in their home, but the management is not worth it. they do not care for any staff other than management themselves and they don't care if you quit they don't value anyone, everyone is replaceable. concerns are not heard or they are dismissed or else swept under the rug. the amount of work you have to do is not equivalent to the amount of time you have. you can be perfect in every way but still would never be treated the way an employee should be treated.
Food Service Manager Intern (Former Employee) – Oakville, ON – 9 March 2017
there is no manger and staff, only friends. We help each other if needed. the working environment is energetic. My manager is fantastic. She always cook lunch for us, and know how to communicate with others.
old employee (Former Employee) – Amherstview, ON – 8 March 2017
Worst place to work lack of staffing Management SUCKS I would go elsewhere if I were you...You will hate it there as no communication so lack of!!! Staff back bite all the time while others have their nose shoved up managements A***......You will hate your job there the care is nil its the outside agency that comes in and does all the work there...So reconsider and apply anywhere else but there..
Manager (Former Employee) – Mississauga – 5 March 2017
Revera is very hit and miss at their support office. There are great people and some wonderful managers but too much inconsistency and preferential treatment in work/life balance and job security. Very high turnover and lack of commitment to strategy means a lot of knee jerk reactions and long lapses in direction. Very poor communication between departments means a big disconnect between senior management and the front line worker. No one is being heard.
Nurse (Current Employee) – Ottawa, ON – 28 January 2017
The team is always devided by department. Never enough staff to cover shifts. Corporate always cutting hours and not giving the tools we need to do the work. Residents are left alone for long times if we are busy with another resident and we can not spend the time needed to take care of the resident properly.
Fun place to be with excellent staff and relaxe environment to work at
PSW Student and recreation (Former Employee) – Toronto ON – 27 January 2017
