Fun place to work at with family like atmosphere
customer service (Former Employee), Fredericton NB – February 13, 2013
Pros: music playing and being able to help others
Cons: long hours
A typical day at work i would walk around organizing clothes while helping customers with products. During this job i learned to work efficiently while still providing customer satisfaction. The hardest part of this job was the long hours standing up. The most enjoyable part was helping people pick out clothes most suitable to their style and taste.

supervisor (Former Employee), herefordshire – May 2, 2013
Pros: having an upaid lunch hour so i could go out and do some shopping
Cons: long hours and only having an hour for lunch
was a good place to work, got to know the staff quite well in the 8 years i have been there. we had a laugh, joking with each other, sometimes the job could get stressful, but pleasant enough. i have learnt quite a bit about being in a management position, banking and the cashing up. serving customers and getting to know the regulars was the highlight – more... of my day, having a chat, laugh with them, knowing what kind of products that they wanted, spending tine in telling them about any new products that may have come onto the market. paperwork - not my strong point and off loading the deliveries is the hardest part of the job. i enjoyed the training courses – less

my working enviroment
bookers (Former Employee), leicester – February 27, 2013
Pros: hour lunches
Cons: long hours ( over time if so)
An average day at work can be calm and productive and as long you work hard at your standerd rate you may learn new things as a whole.
The management was straight forward and helped you when needed even if u was a full time or part time.
The job in retail was enjoyable but it had many hard parts to it aswell such as; trying to get things in reach or – more... finding a perticular item for the customer but overall its a good enviroment to work in. – less

Retail
Barefeet Shoes (Former Employee), Milwaukee, WI – February 4, 2013
Pros: getting the customer approve on their wear that i design myself
Cons: breaks
A day at Barefeet can be very frustrating is you let it get to. The customers can be very aggressive at times, but i leaned that you still have to be nice and polite, which usually calm them down a bit. I really didn't like how the management went there, every time i came in to my shift it was a new manager there. So i felt no type of connection or – more... a friendly gesture towards any of them. The hardest part of the job, is the job it self. I enjoy working with the people i known from when i first started there. – less

Tj Maxx was an Amazing place
TJ Maxx (Former Employee), Bellevue, TN – December 5, 2012
A typical day at TJ Maxx was: you clocked in, you see what you were doing that day, such as if you were a cashier or what area you were in. If I wasn't placed at the cash register then I was usually in Area Two, which was purses, shoes, makeup, ect. I would go through my area and straighten things up, pick things up off the ground, or put things back – more... were they belonged. Sometimes if it got busy they would call me up to the register, and I would quickly check people out while having small talk with them.
I learned a lot at TJ Maxx, but mostly team work. We were always there to help each other get things done. We worked together, made each other laugh, or anything. We stuck together. It was like we made our own little family.
Our managers at Tj Maxx were beyond amazing. Any employee could go up to any manager and talk to them if we had something on our mind, or if we needed extra help. They were always there for us.
The hardest part about my job....Honestly, the shoes. It wasn't that it was hard, it was that it was exhausting. It would take me about an hour (that's at fast pace) to have them perfect. You turn around not five minutes later and they are a mess again!! So it was hard keeping the shoes looking nice and neat!
The most enjoyable part of my job was the little parties. If it was someones birthday we would bring in treats such as cookies and what not. We never really had a dull moment at work. – less
