Administrative Human Resources Clerk
Job Title: Administrative Human ResourcesClerk Location: Sheet Harbour/Dufferin Mine, NS
1.The Administrative Human ResourcesClerk will provide vital links between the administrative and human resources department and the applicants and employees they serve.
2.Provide information to employees, supervisors and management on company policies, employee job duties, working conditions, wages, employee development and health benefits.
3.Respond to day-to-day employee questions and concerns as required.
4.Training & Development for New Hire/ Contractor Orientations, Assist with coordinating and completing new hire orientation/ indoctrination as necessary.
5.Assist with full cycle recruitment for hourly & salary positions.
6.Prepare for and attend career fairs.
7.Work with finance department to manage and coach all employees on payroll & benefits.
8.Provide letters of sponsorship for apprentices to Schools, co-op programs as directed by the HR Coordinator.
9.Ensure all HR forms, policies and manuals are maintained and up to date.
10.Draft letters for managers regarding wage increases, benefits, offer of employment, discipline, and all other employee relation letters.
11.Organizing and coordinating of company sponsored events and community charitable involvement as directed.
12.Assist with other HR projects and duties as required.
13. Maintains good communication between the HR, Admin and Finance Department on employee changes and payroll related information.
Employment Qualifications and Requirements
1.2-3 Years Administration/Human Resources experience required
2.Strong knowledge of Nova Scotia HR practices and procedures
3.Strong leadership with excellent personal and interpersonal skills
4.Able to make decisions independently and in a timely manner
5.Must be proficient with Windows, General office equipment, Electronic scheduler, Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Database software, Internet browser
6.Grade 12 with Completion of or working towards a post secondary degree or certificate in Human Resources
7.The incumbent should possess strong communication skills, must be employee focused and capable of responding to requests with tact and diplomacy.
8.Professional attitude with meticulous attention to details and great organizational skills
9.Able to work in a fast paced, priority and deadline driven environment
10.Ability to work independently and most importantly as a member of a team.
11.Willing to relocate.
