Our client, a major international manufacturer and distributor of high-tech cooking equipment in Canada is currently searching for an exceptional regional sales manager with 10 to 15 years experience and will assist in the south western region of Ontario. This individual are looking to take their career in a new direction and will be responsible for selling unique cutting edge kitchen equipment which is used extensively in the kitchens of Europe

The position Regional Sales Manager/Executive Chef is mainly a sales position and not a chefs' position. This company is a sales driven company which offers an outstanding product. You will be responsible for initiating and completing the sales process and providing culinary solutions to hospitality operations. Therefore, a culinary and sales background is a necessary asset for someone to be successful in this position. After full and extensive training, you will be responsible for a set territory and make sales call to hospitably establishments and will do award winning cooking demonstrations to clients.

Culinary Managers/Executive Chefs and Sales Managers with a solid experience in the Food and Beverage business are a must! The ideal candidate has run operations before and has met the challenges of dealing with food and labour costs. Someone with experience in the renovation or building of a professional kitchen would also be a plus. In addition to having sound and proven sales experience, this individual will also have had responsibility for achieving sales targets and managed a territory network.

You must possess an entrepreneurial spirit, be passionate about the hospitality industry and what you are doing, have a sociable character, an outgoing personality, be very well organized and have a methodical and systematic approach. The individuals we are seeking will be self-motivated, independent yet coach-able with a positive character. Strong computer skills are a must. Excel, Power Point, and other CRM systems (we use Siebel CRM system).

Salary parameters are a base of $60,000 to $65,000 with an exceptional and obtainable targeted bonus in the $18,000 range, a company car as well as excellent company benefits and retirement plan will be offered to the right individual. Our client has a strong preference for individuals that are currently working in their defined local area of southern Ontario.
