chef (Former Employee), port hope ontOctober 13, 2012
Pros: end of the day
Cons: management lack of respect for employees and codes and conduct regulated by ministry
The managers are pretty nasty to the employees, threatening and work load is too too much for one person. manager uses their position to intimidate staff is over worked stressed and unhappy. kitchen needs to be up to code and standards. No time for breaks or lunch very very unpleasant and stress-full place to work . I had to leave very toxic place to – more... work – less

Charge Nurse (Former Employee), Columbus, OHDecember 30, 2013
Pros: residents, employees, pay, benefits
Cons: long shifts, no breaks, understaffed, abusive management
I really enjoyed the complex, critical care environment in this facility. Loved my fellow nurses and assisted personnel, along with the complex patients they serve. The Knowledge and skill that I gained by working here also surpassed any expectation that I had upon graduating nursing school. The down side was being consistently under staffed and over – more... whelmed by the patient/nurse ratio. This combined with being verbally assaulted when even acknowledged by the Director of Nursing made for an extremely uncomfortable working environment. Great pay, and benefits were not enough of a trade off for me to subject myself to the abuse I felt. – less

Physical Therapist Assistant (Former Employee), Bexley, OHOctober 20, 2013
Pros: pay, speech and ot staff
Cons: pt staff, lacked in mentoring for new staff
I had a lot of new things thrown at me as a new grad and not many chances to have a mentor. The staff seemed to be more interested in each other and breaks than helping me grow as a PTA. Management was hard to confer with, being a contracted staff in a nursing home. My coworkers in PT were difficult to get along with because I was so young. My coworkers – more... in OT and speech were absolutely fabulous and very helpful to me. The hardest part of my job was the first time I had a patient pass on me. The most enjoyable part of my job was helping the students learn something they had not learned in school. – less

Cook &Dietary Aide (Former Employee), Columbus, OHOctober 15, 2013
This employer isn't the best to work for. The only thing it's good for is gaining some experience. Once you've been there for 6 months to a year, I suggest seeking other employment. This place is quite unorganized, and rules change from day to day at times.

Dietary Aide (Former Employee), Columbus, OHJanuary 2, 2012
Pros: its like a family enviornment
Cons: short breaks
I loved working for Regency Manor. I was there for a year as a Dietary Aide. I've never felt so much genuine care from a company other than this one. Its not easy to get in. Just keep applying and stay in their face.
