The Warehouseperson performs warehouse duties and functions to support inventory integrity, order processing by pulling stock, packing it into boxes and onto pallets to be shipped to the customer. Receiving material,unloading the inventory, and placing it in the appropriate areas of the warehouse. Checking shipping and receiving lists to ensure accuracy. Controlling inventory by locating missing material, stocking material, restocking material, and checking for damaged material. Keeping company records organized by placing orders,printing orders, and updating shipping and receiving records according to warehouse activity. ensuring warehouse safety and cleanliness by using protective safety equipment, operating machinery safely, and performing any necessary cleaning tasks. Must have the ability to drive a forklift and lift/move some heavy loads. Needs general math skills and the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English. Must have the ability to learn job specifics, such as warehouse layout and the different types of inventory.
- 1 year warehouse / material handling experience preferred.
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Is open to feedback and takes responsibility for personal development.
- Excellent communication skills.
