Very Dramatic and Young Staff
Hostess/Expediter (Former Employee), Victoria, BC – April 24, 2013
Pros: 50% off food on shift.
Cons: management, pay, servers, hours
Everyday is busy. The old management was a lot better. The people are all very young. Lots of drama. You don't get very many hours.

Fun workplace with amazing team members.
Server (Former Employee), Burnaby, BC – January 15, 2013
Pros: 50% off meals
Cons: no breaks as a server
I had a great time working for Red Robin. The staff made me feel welcome and if I ever needed something there was no shortage of offers to help from other team members and management.

A typical shift was about 4 or 5 hours and was very fast paced which made time fly by.

The hardest part of the job was the odd time you would deal with unruly customers. – more... The most enjoyable was working with friends. – less

Great start for me in customer service
Hostess (Former Employee), Redmond, WA – May 21, 2013
Pros: discount on food, made new friends.
Red Robin was a positive environment for me to gain the skills I needed as a team member of this establishment. It taught me how to interact with customers and how to deal with problems if need be. I memorized the menu, was the fist and last person customers saw when leaving the restaurant.

Fun work environment.
Sales Team Member (Former Employee), Vancouver, WA – May 16, 2013
This job can be very fast paced. Must be able to multi-task, enjoy working with the public, making money and have the freedom of an open schedule. The hardest part of this job was working on the weekend nights because of how fast paced it is. The easiest part was loving what you do and who you do it for.

Productive place to work its a good place to develop team work and good communication skills
Line Cook (Former Employee), Burlington, WA – May 14, 2013
Pros: free lunches, good first job, great people and working environment
Cons: short breaks, not enough hours, and raises.
My typical day at work working on the kitchen line making cooking and assembling burgers. I learned a lot of good things at Red Robin like cleaning and organization skills, teamwork, good communication skills and cooking food at the right temps. Management is good there when it gets real busy they come out and help both sides on line. My coworkers were – more... really fun to work with being able to work hard but also have some fun. The hardest part of the job was when it would get extremely busy like on weekends and during some holidays and the summertime. the most enjoyable part of the the job was the people working there we all got along and we had fun even if it was extremely busy. – less

An interesting place to work
Sales Associate/Trained Mixologist (Current Employee), Frederick, MD – May 9, 2013
Pros: 50% discount off certain food items
Cons: at my location, everything
The values of teamwork and leadership are the two main things I take away from working at Red Robin. The company sincerely attempts to instill these values and others (such as the Gift of Time, responsibility, etc.) into their employees. All of these values I believe I already possess but the productivity and the management (with very few exceptions) – more... make enjoying such an environment difficult. Certain managers at my location can be demeaning and rude and as I said, make it difficult to want to come to work on some days. The expectations of the employees are unrealistic to a certain extent and the pay does not reflect everything we are put through. If, and when, I ever get the opportunity to leave my place of work, the only thing I will miss are the people I work with. Even then, they are dropping like flies and new ones are being brought in with no sense of morale or responsibility for the values the company attempts to instill. The restaurant had a lot of potential; however, it fell far from it. – less
