Child Care Program Assistance (Volunteer), Toronto, ON - March 10, 2015
A typical day at this particular job would be checking in with the supervisor on a daily basis. My main duty was to pack food into bags while making sure that the store was kept clean. However, I developed an excellent communication skills by interacting with diverse customer which allowed to accept difference and people's situation in order to better communicate and relate to them. The hardest part of the job was lifting heavy object. sometimes by the end of the day was back and hands would be swollen. However, what I enjoyed about working at this salvation army was seeing a smile on people's faces when they got their merchandise. On Christmas, my co-workers and I would wrap and share gifts (as part of our duty); this made me very happy to see smiles on children faces.
