Real Estate is not for everyone
REALTOR (Former Employee), Aurora, COOctober 5, 2012
Pros: satisfaction of finding and negotiating the right home for a client, well compensated for the job. meet loads of personalities. loved every minute.
Cons: no job security, frustrations abound and nothing is certain, the uncertainty of a regular paycheck is not for everyone.
RE/MAX Unlimited is a wonderful environment for the experienced broker. You are free to run your business with creativity and impunity, as long as it remains lawful and ethical of course.
Management is supportive and businesslike. I would return in a minute if my desire was to do real estate and live in the Denver area.

Professional and large nationwide company great to work at.
Real Estate Agent (Current Employee), San Antonio, TX.September 30, 2012
Pros: escellent marketing tools.
Cons: no base salary.
A typical day at work at Re/Max is a self-managed day that gave me a pleasant tour of the city driving to a different home for sale every day, with different clients.

However, the hardest part of the job is when I got lost in the city trying to find a home for sale but with the help of a GPS the adventure improved in that area.

Usually, when a deal – more... went successfully trough closing, the hardest part seemed to dim away. – less

Set up and scheduled appointments for agents with escrow work, and all related sales tasks. Prioritized calls from clients and applicants.
Hardest part of job, was closing – more... escrows on time.
Most enjoyable and satisfying - closing an escrow. – less

professional, fun, relaxed place to work
Front office scheduler, administrative assistant (Former Employee), Jacksonville Beach, FLSeptember 7, 2012
Pros: it was enjoyable to go to work
Cons: i was a part time employee prefering full time
answer calls; schedule showings, assorted administrative issues to handle, create, print and mail brochures,

Management were great - could not ask for nicer people, honest, good morlas, down to earth, whole offiice was like family

co workers were also as great as the management

hardest part of job - watching all the beach goers walking down the sidewalk – more... while I was inside on great beach days.

I learned quite a bit about what it actually takes for a realtor to actually make money to support a family and it is not easy or cheap

the most enjoyable part of the job was when an agent comes in and has a deadline, is not even half finished and they are suprprised to learn I have the knowledge, skills and experience to help with the project to make sure it got out the door before the deadline.

Helping people - that is what I enjoy the Most. – less

Residential/Foreclosure Sales/Renovation
Sales Associate (Current Employee), Kennesaw, GAAugust 20, 2012
Over the past 3 years I listed Fannie Mae properties and as part of my responsibility I was in constant communicaton with Asset Managers regarding condition, pricing, marketing, etc.
As of January 2012 I now list owner occupant re-sale properties and helping first time homebuyers and investors with their purchases. My daily duties include: Marketing – more... to new clients. Maintain relationships with past clients for future referrals. I am Self-Motivated as an independant contractor for Remax. Preparing market analysis to determine property values for buyers and sellers. Contract negotiations and helping with construction renovation cost analysis for investors.

In this market the most difficult part of my job is the ability to make a consistant living due to low inventory and deflated home values.
The most enloyable part is meeting new people and helping them find their new home or investment property. In addition, I enjoy being involved in renovation/flipping properties. – less

I was the admistrative assistant for 4 years and fired for no reason
Regional Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Monaca, PAMay 17, 2012
Pros: i loved my job.
Cons: i had none
I was an administrative assistant in the Monaca, PA office for 4 years, held "administrative assistant/first impression officer for a year. Ran not one office but also the Moon Township office which failed and they ended up closing.

I did nothing wrong but put out an email to the agents in my office regarding the fax machine and was literally screamed – more... at because it could cause panic???? Okay the fax machine was down agents, if you can get your clients to scan/email their items (technology people) or at least don't make a trip into the office.

I have all the paperwork and emails from my owner of the company and should have actually gotten an attorney for being "let go" for no apparent reason, just out of the blue after Christmas vacation.

I am a single mother of three kids depending on my income and I loved job and was blindsided.

A typical day at work was busy and you had to be able to multitask. I learned alot at the company because the real estate market is always a step ahead. My co-workers in my particular office were great. The hardest part of the job was learning a new accounting system and I enjoyed working at RE/MAX everyday because each day brought new beginnings. – less
