Graphic Designer
Job Description

Prepare supplied artwork for digital and offset press output.
Create and coordinate electronic and/or printed graphic materials.
Create and produce JPEGs, PDFs, clip art, graphs, charts, thumbnail images, and other design elements.

Conceptualize and design flyers, advertisements, brochures, logos, signage, and other exhibits/displays.

Plan production schedules and workflow for the entire design process.

Develop specifications and standards for printing and other production.
Inspect proofs for accuracy and adherence to print standards.

Provide technical graphics assistance to production personnel, content authors, publishers, clients, and/or vendors/service providers.

Coordinate and maintain a library of graphics, media, digital records, and other enterprise content.
Where necessary, write and edit marketing copy, web copy, etc.

Ensure electronic layouts translate well into photography, copy, overall creative guidelines and production needs.

The right candidate will have a willing attitude, balance needs and priorities in a dynamic busy printshop.

Education and Experience :

Relevant post-secondary education, such as a Diploma in Graphic Design, or related field.
Ability to communicate and translate ideas into creative presentation.
High proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
The ability to integrate and work well in a team environment.
Organized, detail oriented and able to focus and work efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Working cooperatively with others and maintaining a calm demeanor .

Previous experience in Production an asset.
