Productive and fun work place but poor compensation
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee), Montgomery , AL – June 6, 2013
Pros: employee appreciation gatherings
Cons: low hourly wage
Randstad is a great place to work . Management always made it easy to get employees involved and they showed us great appreciation with their once a month gatherings. Even though everyone thought our hourly wage should be more we still enjoyed our job !

A company that shapes the way the world works
Executive HR (Former Employee), Thiruvananthapuram, KL – June 3, 2013
Pros: perks, incentives, team outings, success parties etc
Cons: some conflicting policies between clients and company
A typical day at work:

9am - 11am: After breakfast, I meet the team for our daily briefing to discuss and update on any new jobs or new candidates from the previous day. I then check the online job boards and advertisement responses for any new candidates. The morning is the best time to catch clients, so I usually follow up on any CVs before 11am.

11am – more... - 1pm: Business development and networking is a key element in building a busy and successful desk. I use this time to introduce myself to new clients and arrange meetings.

2pm - 4pm: I often use this time to work on a job position I’m keen to fill as soon as possible. So I will often set myself targets in terms of how many candidates I send over, or how many new candidates I find.

4pm - 6pm: I use this time to ensure that I have finished all of the day’s tasks, and organize myself for the following day. Many of the candidates I speak to over the course of the day will ask me to call back around this time so, again, this is a great time to arrange meetings or interviews, and get updates from existing candidates.

LEARNING:

Labor relations experience, Strong Human Resources discipline, Experience with handling grievances in a timely manner,
Strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment and build effective relationships with internal and external clients
Leadership skills, including the ability to influence and provide direction
Strong written and verbal business communication skills
Change Management Experience
Experience of working in a matrix environment
Ability to work independently and in teams

MANAGEMENT:

A very cooperative and supportive management to back up the team was an asset of Randstad. It was truly a boon with the management adopting an open door policy with internal affairs.

CO WORKERS:
Very supportive and friendly coworkers. Initial on the job training was majorly through peers

HARDEST PART OF THE JOB:
Working with clients whose needs were very customized and job requirements difficult to close within short deadlines

ENJOYABLE PART OF THE JOB:
The group culture followed at the organization and the employee engagement tools adopted to relieve us of the work pressure – less

Google Building 2637 Marine Way Mountain View, CA 94043
Call center agent (Former Employee), Mountain View, CA – May 31, 2013
Pros: you get to put google on your resume.
Cons: disrespect and constant negativity from a team that knows nothing about how to run a call center.
Please don't be fooled people, this is a Google temp building with no opportunity for growth unless you are willing to sleep with someone or are best friends with them. There are people on the Randstad staff that do not even know how to properly send documents in emails! Do you really think that this person should be judging Googler's work and staffing – more... teams?? What a nightmare, how embarrassing for Google! Just run! Looks can be very deceiving.

I need to note that there are NO Google subsidies meals for more than 90% of the employees Randstad staffs. They are SUCH and embarrassment that Google even gives their temp Janitors these benefits however only 10% of the people in the call center Randstad staff's get them. You might be lucky enough to scrounge a moldy banana or some moldy coffee from their MK though. The most demeaning part is that Randstad asks us to clean our own facilities when that was never mentioned in our the contract. This is not a joke Randstad asks you to CLEAN the MK and bathrooms.

It would be helpful if Randstad hired people who knew how to properly attach documents and not cc other's personal info out. This should have been the red flag that warned me in the beginning. My advice to Google is to get rid of Ranstad, they are toxic for the company and are making Google known for something they are definitely not.

Randstad is definitely not Googly. – less

Interesrting
Cash (Former Employee), Memphis, TN – May 31, 2013
Pros: flexable hours
Cons: only a temp i would have never been hired on
When coming into work I would look and see how much I had to scan and file for that day. I would scan until the mail came in and once the 3 mail totes of mail come in I would sort to see when it would need to got. Either it went to a department or co-worker in my office or I would need to send it off our office in PA. Once the mail was completed and – more... I everyone gave me what they need to be mail I would go to the mail room and FedEx everything off. Once a week I would help with deposits making sure the checks matched the Explanation of Benefits take out any correspondence al the while placing separator sheets. Once this was completed then it would been to be scanned when all information was scanned it would have to be filed.

I learned the real importance of having policy and procedures put in to place so that errors lessened, less time spent on asking questions so that work can be completed more efficiently.

The managers and supervisor where very nice and great to work with.

My co-workers were fun and had hearts of gold. They make the work fun even though it could be very stressful.

The hardest thing about my job was not having a policy and procedure to work with. I ask lots and lots a questions that could have been emanated by just having that.

I did however really enjoy getting to know each and very person that I worked with. They are some real amazing people and I was great working with them. – less
