The position of Bilingual Information Officer requires a well-rounded individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The information officer is accountable for the collection, organization and presentation of detailed and extensive information in a logical manner. Potential candidates must be willing to consistently engage in an on-going learning curve. Candidates should also be comfortable in a computer-driven environment.

  • Maintain and upgrade knowledge of current affairs by reading newspapers, business magazines, internal communications and personal development
  • Record statistical and customer profiles in the CBO call tracking database
  • Conduct secondary market research for CBO clients in areas such as company and product sourcing, demographic research and social trend research, as needed
  • Understanding of government structure: Federal/Provincial/Municipal


  • Post-Secondary education, college or university
  • General business experience
  • Ideally, a minimum 1 year experience in the customer service sector, preferably in a contact center environment
  • Excellent Internet searching skills and research skills
  • Familiarity using Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • 18-month commitment
