Position Title: HR Administrator, 6 Month Contract
Reports to: VP of HR
Department: Human Resources
Location: Burnaby, BC
Reporting to the VP of HR, this role is to provide support and assistance to the Human Resources Department in the Burnaby Branch.
Duties and Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Assists with employee orientations and on-boarding procedures
  • Ensures new hire/departure paperwork is filled out properly before processing to Payroll
  • Enters data into the HRIS system
  • Maintains training register and administrating CBV University site
  • Sends out new hire notifications and various announcements
  • Acts as a resource to employees regarding routine inquiries related to Company policies and procedures
  • Manages the Rewards & Recognition program i.e. Anniversary, Birthday List, Citations
  • Conducts Group RRSP, Benefits Administration and Parking & Translink program information sessions and processes all paperwork
  • Manages tickets from the HR Request System
  • Maintains up-to-date personnel files and personnel-related documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepares standard correspondence and reports and maintains files of a confidential nature, i.e. personnel, salary, benefits, security authorizations, meeting minutes
  • Assists with filing for all offices
  • Other duties and projects as required i.e. Company Newsletter

The Person:

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years administrative experience
  • Human Resources experienced preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential materials
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience working with a HRIS system would be beneficial
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment
  • High level of integrity , confidentiality and maturity
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Courses in Human Resource Management preferred
  • No Active Disciplinary action on file
  • Good Attendance
