Rainforest Cafe, Inc. owns, operates and licenses themed restaurant/retail facilities (each a Unit) under the name Rainforest Cafe - A Wild Place to Shop and Eat." As of February 28, 2000, the Company owned and operated 28 Units in the United States and licensed 10 Units internationally, including England (two units), Mexico (three units), Canada – more... (three units), Hong Kong and France. The Company's Units are designed to provide a visually and audibly stimulating and entertaining rainforest environment that appeals to a broad range of customers of all ages. Each Rainforest Cafe consists of a Restaurant and a Retail Village. The Restaurant provides an attractive value to customers by offering a full menu of high quality food and beverage items, generous portions and excellent service in a unique and exciting environment. The Retail Village features apparel, toys and gifts with the Rainforest Cafe logo and other items reflecting the rainforest theme.
