Fired because of Medical Problems
Hostess (Former Employee), Milwaukee, WI – July 27, 2012
This bar and restaurant allowed people to smoke cigars and cigarettes. I ended up being hospitalized and they fired me.

a more indepth customer service
Front Desk Agent (Former Employee), Denver, CO – July 17, 2012
Radisson Hotel is the place where I learned more about taking care of the needs of a customer when dealing with them longer than a 15 minutes. I learned how to keep them comfortable, happy, and satisfied. On a typical day I would check customers in, check leaving customers out, step up reservations, notify house keeping if customers need extra of anything. – more... The hardest thing was learning all the paper work that I wasnt use to. – less

Accounts Payable Processor (Former Employee), San Diego, CA – July 14, 2012
Pros: other employees
Cons: very few
The people were the best part. When the owner sold the hotel property, the material condition started sadly deteriorating. This unfortunately added to stress. Loved working there.

Taking care of the guests
Room Attendant (Former Employee), Philadelphia, PA – July 5, 2012
Pros: hearing i've done a good job
Cons: not having the proper material, etc. to get things done on time
A day at work would be giving my all to my customers/guests.. I learned to help and appreciate the life of anther huuman being. When it comes down to supervising one of my co-workers, you teach them everything you know and be proud that they have given their all, just like i would. The hardest part of any job would be, not being able to satisfy someone – more... elses need when it's not in your reach. The most enjoyable part of my job was to know i made a difference in someone elses life – less

My position was eliminated after almost six years.
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Memphis, TN – June 27, 2012
Pros: i loved helping the tourists get the most out of memphis.
Cons: i had employers that created stress and chaos
I had half a dozen managers in as many years. Some of them were downright crazy. My first manager was married to my district supervisor. Shaner Hotel Group was rife with nepotism. My last manager was an obnoxious alcoholic. He screamed at me often for no reason. I really liked working in hospitality and tourism. I met many interesting and diverse people – more... and enjoyed helping to see Memphis at its best. – less

You don't matter very much.
Bartender (Former Employee), Green Bay, WI – June 21, 2012
Pros: none.
The management tend to not care very much about the employees. Management is moody and treats everyone below them horribly. For holidays and birthdays they give you lame $10 gift certificates for the employee cafeteria where you get a discount but you have to use the entire thing at once so it's only a win for them not you.

Great place fast paced and great clientele
Busser/Room-Service (Former Employee), Sacramento, CA – May 12, 2012
Pros: love the free lunches which is always a plus, many opportunities to cross train for advancement.
A typical day is making sure all work stations are stocked and ready for the days work and team meetings before the rush.

I've learned a lot about how the restaurant and hotel operation in dealing with hotel guess. The management I can't complain because in my eyes it was ran well and keeping the the public image and professionalism and hospitality.

My – more... co-worker were the best teams one could ever work with. It was a great relationship in team work as to no job was too big to handle, due to the team work. Well as far as the hardest part was having to leave and move on. But would gladly come back when the opportunity comes available.

The most enjoyable part about the job, is the people I meet, our guess we severed in the hospitality industry, and the clientele, and the special events we held, such as concerts, conferences, and the Jazz festivals and giving an experience for our guest and showing that we want them to remember the good experience there and hope for their return again. So again, it's all about the great team work and showing our best. – less

Poor In General
Kitchen Steward (Former Employee), Tucson, AZ – April 5, 2012
Pros: bell service
Cons: everything else there
There is way to much back biting among employee's, to many rule change's to where no one know's how to respond without being on pin's and needle's. Take's to long for needed repair's to take place, thus creating a poor working enviroment. It went from excellent in rating's to very poor in 4 year's. Way to many guest complaint's have occurred in the – more... past 2 year's as well. I would give anyone advice to go to another hotel where they are not cheap skates where there guest's are concerned, and the employee moral is top of the line because they are truly valued. I was sad to see the deterioration of the quality of service and treatment there in a short time. I had to leave because it saddened me alot. – less
