Pros: great leaning experiences, low cost of living in the area, pretty good benefits package, great people to work with
Cons: long hours, not the greatest work to life balance if you have a family, if you had a strong work ethic and no family it's a perfect fit
My day at this property, would change nearly daily, between banquet preperation and managing the cooks for the restaurant. I leared so much from the Chef at this location, she was one of the best chefs i have worked under. The hotel being in a college town did have alot of turnover, but with a few veteran staff in each area of the hotel. The hardest – more... part of the job was the buisness levels day in and day out at this property it was always busy with weddings, corporate dinning events.
The most enjoyable part of the job was the comitment to do every thing at a high level that was served out of that kitchen, it was easy to take great pride in what we created there. – less
