Productive workplace with awesome co-workers
Kitchen Assistant (Former Employee), Saskatoon, SK – February 26, 2013
Pros: free lunches, nice co-workers
Cons: not learning how to bake more food.
During my volunteer hours at the Radisson hotel i learned how to prepare food properly and garnish foods. My co-workers were very nice and very helpful. The hardest part of the job was preparing foods all day so much my fingers were sore. I enjoyed working with my co-workers and garnishing foods.

Excellent Team work and Management
Guest Service Agent (Current Employee), Calgary, AB – November 11, 2012
Pros: lunch, teamwork, working with people you can rely on and fantastic work enviroment
Cons: n/a
Everyday we had a task list to complete, and a various amount of other work. We all worked as a team and management worked with us as well (rare) and it is the best work enviroment I have ever worked in. We have 100% guest satisfaction program so we were always assuring our guests had a good stay and made sure if they did not to make it right. The hardest – more... part of a day would be having a guest we just could not satisfy no matter what we tried. All departments worked as a team together which made the daily run of the hotel fairly easy. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting the variety of guests and the guest interaction. To make someones day because of a simple offering is very satisfactory! If I could I would bring my job home with me. – less

Hospitality Coordinator/ Host (Former Employee), Dublin, CA – May 22, 2013
Great company to work for, they trained all employees very well in Customer Service. Come to work dressed professionally. Greet every customer with a smile and a friendly hello. Take reservations, book rooms, charge rooms, answer all telephone traffic, hand out key cards, reissue key cards, deliver key cards to rooms, show rooms, escort people off company – more... property, eat lunch from the company's restaurant The Bistro. Fun environment to work in, meet a lot of different people. – less

Sous Chef (Current Employee), Colorado Springs, CO – April 3, 2013
Pros: working with new products every week, creating new concepts.
Cons: vacation time
This any well oiled machine, the kitchen must be run professionally with each person knowing their place and doing their job efficiently. The kitchen manager must make sure that everything is in order, along with the assistance of the kitchen staff, waitrons, head cook and chefs.

The kitchen manager is sometimes the executive chef or the chef manager – more... and they are responsible for making sure that the chef jobs, sous chef jobs, pastry chef jobs, assistant jobs, waitron jobs, and other executive chef jobs are all filled and correctly done in the kitchen. If there is a chef or waitron, assistant or member of the kitchen staff that is out of place and not doing his or her job, the kitchen manager must correct this.

The executive chef jobs are many and you have to have the entire run of the kitchen as far as the food preparation is concerned. You must be able to work at all the stations and check on the food being prepared by the assistants and preparers, as well as the food being made, and the food going out garnished to the customers. The chef job you have is to make sure all the food is perfect and you are not to leave the kitchen at any point. You will have your own station that you work at making and preparing the dishes, although you will not usually plate your own food.

Sous chef jobs fall into line directly behind the head chef and you will usually be responsible for all the small details of the meal you are preparing. You and the executive chef must work together and act as a unified front in the kitchen. Sous chef jobs will entail doing some things and making some meals that you might do another way if you were in charge, but you are not, so you have to follow the head chef's lead all the way. The sous chef jobs that you find in larger hotels or restaurants are more than one, and you could be sous chef of meats, soups and starters, puddings, vegetable dishes and others sections of the kitchen. Each section will have their own station and you will have to make and create the menu that the head chef prepares. – less

Great Hotel with A Great Team
EXECUTIVE HOUSEKIPING (Current Employee), Orlando, FL – March 15, 2013
Pros: great hotel, great team, great guests
Cons: no budget, no benefits, no supplies housekeeping or maintenance
A typical day at work is dividing the board for the housekeepers and conducting a pre shift meeting with the entire housekeeping and Maintenance Team. Submit the daily housekeeping report for all rooms cleaned the day before. Train the supervisors daily and give them feedback on guest comments to improve quality of service and guest satisfaction. Making – more... sure that all clean rooms are entered in the system and fixing all room status discrepancies.
Great Management
Great Team and coworkers
Hardest part of the job is not getting the tools and supplies needed to perform my duties to the fullest in order to exceed guest expectations. The most enjoyable part of the job is taking care of the guest needs and providing our guest with exceptional service and very clean rooms that are issues free. And always review the guest feedback logs from the front desk and use the information to improve guest experience. – less
