Position Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for coordinating the quality activities of the project/s.

Essential Job Functions (day to day responsibilities):

Prepare, implement and maintain project quality plan in collaboration with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Project Engineering Lead and the Client
Responsible to lead and assist the project team members to ensure compliance with the client, industry and internal quality requirements
Participate in the development and implementation of work instructions for projects
Coach and mentor all project team members on Corporate Quality Program
Ensure that all project quality documents such as project quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITP), construction and commissioning binders are in place, implemented, monitored and results are recorded in a timely and organized fashioned
Prepare and coordinate audits, monitoring activities and project reviews as established in the Project Quality Plan
Manage and ensure all NCRs and PARs issued to projects are addressed on time and effective
Contribute to regular project reports and project closures
Maintain a complete file of records of QA/QC for all phases of the project
Ensure implementation of lessons learned and measures of customer satisfaction

Essential Requirements:

Education:

Engineering Degree or Technologist / Technician certification

Experience:
Min 1 year of construction experience as project quality control/quality assurance professional in an EPC environment
System and project quality auditing experience
Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis
General knowledge of transmission lines and associated equipment and materials is an asset.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 10005 standards
Proven decision making skills
Experience in development and implementation of Project Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plans
Working knowledge of all codes related to the construction industry
Proficiency in the various Microsoft Office applications
