Quinn Construction Ltd. is now accepting applications for a General Foreman to support contract mechanical work for our client located in Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan.

  • Preference will be given to candidates local to Lloydminster or to those willing to relocate
  • Shift consists of 5 days on, 2 days off – 10 hours per day
  • Daily travel from the Quinn shop in Lloydminster to the work location, paid at 90% of regular rate


  • Ensure project work is executed in a safe, productive environment with equal consideration to quality and cost
  • Champion, mentor and instill a positive safety culture while administering Safe Work Procedures (SWPs)
  • Ensure appropriate pre-job Tool Box meetings and PTA cards are included as part of each job/task
  • Ensure correct job scope and material requirements and communicate receipt of material deliveries/delays for work scheduling – ensure all activity paperwork flows correctly
  • Collaborate with Foreman on task-planning and communicate task-lists and assignments
  • Manage daily time-ticket process
  • Monitor and report on established deliverables
  • Ensure Quinn site leadership understand responsibilities, expectations and specific tasks pertaining to safety and work execution
  • Conduct regular worksite inspections to monitor workmanship and safety compliance
  • Ensure manpower requirements are staffed with qualified personnel
  • Assign workload to supervision and personnel within area of responsibility


  • Journeyman or Red Seal certification or equivalent post-secondary training
  • 3 – 5 years of plant or related construction project supervisory experience, including hydro-testing
  • Understand blue prints, P&ID’s, piping specifications and QA/QC requirements
  • High degree of safety awareness and a commitment to safety (his/hers and others)
  • Knowledgeable of OH&S and Employment Standards and its application
  • Demonstrated supervisory and administrative skill-set
  • Capable of planning and organizing work activities in a cost effective and efficient manner
  • Maintain positive relations with client & coworkers through effective communication conflict management skills
  • Proficient computer skills, able to meet requirements of client systems
  • Able to meet requirements of Physical Demands Analysis
  • Driver’s license
  • Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
  • Valid H2S Alive certification
