Check that all agreed safety standards and applicable regulations are observed.
Check proper maintenance, calibration and operation of all safety equipment including Personal Protective equipment.
Check site security, fire, first aid and welfare facilities, and ensure that procedures appropriate to the contract are developed and properly maintained
Organizing and conducting in site HSE training (Hot work, WAH, Confined space, Power tools).
Submit monthly safety and accident reports.
Convene and attend safety meetings.
Carry out regular site safety inspections.
Investigate all accidents and dangerous occurrences and submit appropriate reports
To increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
To respond to employees’ safety concerns.
To respond to fires and other emergencies on or about the company property.
To co-ordinate registration and removal of hazardous waste.
To receive reports from and respond to orders issued by Department of Labor inspectors.
To arrange for Occupational Health and Safety testing and/or evaluations of the workplace by
External agencies/consultants as may be necessary.
To act as liaison with all related governmental bodies and regulating agencies.
To co-ordinate the Company’s emergency procedures and act as the Company’s emergency
To liaise with Municipal and State Emergency planners, update plans, organize exercises and
To liaise with the Fire Department regarding emergency procedures, communications and fire safety education programs.
To set a high personal example of health and safety at all times and assume other duties as may be assigned.
