The Worst Company - Extremley Low Pay - Poor management
Tax Process Specialist (Former Employee) –  London, ON20 March 2017
As much as I liked the job, the environment was one of the worst places, where negativity exists in every corner. Staff are in control of the entire situation. Some staff are unprofessional and swearing all the time at each other, which makes it really distracting to work around your team. Management does not care about the attitude of the employee.

They provide extensive training for three weeks with minimum practice. Yet, they judge you for making a small mistake, meanwhile their manuals are not written correctly and missing a lot of important information.

Appreciation is given to their favorite people, which creates a lot of conflict between other staff.

Salary is way too low for experienced / educated people. You would neglect this part if you feel you are a part of the team and welcomed in the company.

My advise to you, RUN AWAY as soon as you feel all of the above.
Pros
free lunch
Cons
all of the above

productivity and fun workplace, colleagues are all nice to work with. Peak season is pretty intensive and usually with a lot pressure of finishing audit before deadline, but for the other time the job is good.

PwC is a very collaborative place to work with a lot of opportunity for growth and development. A huge focus is their people and the learning that they get to take advantage of.

Good place to start your career
Associate, Tax, Global Mobility Services (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON4 January 2017
The firm provided tons of advancement opportunities, with supportive colleagues and partners, as such, it was a great place to kick start your career. However, in longer term, there is very little work-life balance and career advancement comes in exchange of this balance.

Good resume builder
Senior Associate (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON21 December 2016
Working here looks great on your resume but the culture is cut throat, long hours, weekends, travel and the compensation isn't great. It's a good first job to build your resume but not somewhere you want to stay long term, especially if you plan on having a family.

Marketing Manager (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON2 November 2016
Overall I enjoyed my time at PwC. I made some life long friends and I learnt a lot. My only regret is I didn't leave sooner. This is a great place to start a career but it's very easy to get stuck there. It's not a forward thinking organization, especially if you're working in their marketing group. Navigating the bureaucracy is exhausting and it makes difficult to truly be creative.
Pros
They hire great people.
Cons
Conservative management

friendly fast paced professional work environment. Have to meet daily deadlines and ensure continuous workflow of the department.

I've learned how to continue to apply time management skills to meet daily deadline and coordinate with the team to ensure good work flow of the department

Everyone works as a team when needed to overcome any challenges faced and ultimately meet deadline during the busy season hence producing satisfactory results
