An Internationally recognized firm of Chartered Accountants
MANAGER/ RECEIVER'S AGENT (Former Employee) –  St. Andrew & St. Catherine Jamaica11 August 2017
I worked as a Consultant with a free hand to manage the resources given to me and to fulfill the mandate of my given responsibilities. The period of employment gave me great insight into the depths of financial difficulties encountered by manufacturing type organizations and revealed processes and decisions which sometimes lead to financial losses.
I was able to impose my own style of management for the projects and companies i managed with proper support when necessary from the PWC management team.
The difficulties of these assignments revolved around insufficiency of funds to operate the business on a going concern basis given the need to have funds to meet commitments to employees and creditors.

Assistant Manager (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON17 July 2017
Partners & Managers always took time to train staff which provided a great springboard for all junior and intermediate auditors.
Meeting very tight deadlines and ensuring client needs were met was a daily and gratifying part of the job.
Working with fellow professional accountants within the firm and with clients was the best of the job.
Pros
Best training for a professional accountant.
Cons
Very long hours. Not much time left for a social life.

long hours, low starting salary
Senior Associate (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON12 July 2017
long work hours as expected, but all your coworkers are of the same age and background so can easily connect with coworkers during work. Ratings are rigged in the sense that it really depends on 1) who your mentor is and how well he/she can advocate for you during annual meetings, 2) whether other members on the performance committee actually knows you, 3) how often you are borrowed out of your group. If this happens more often than not then you will be unknown to the performance committee and will likely get a lower rating.
Pros
good culture
Cons
Long hours, annual ratings depend on who you know

Bad company - low pay - little advancement opportunities
Tax Processing Specialist/Tax Data Specialist (Current Employee) –  London, ON30 June 2017
A tax processing specialist at the london ontario SDC is only a good position to start in if you have no work experience and want something on your resume. This is a very boring and administrative based position. If you come from an accounting background, I would advise you to not take the position as you will be bored the first week into the job.

The management and HR at this place has SO MANY PROBLEMS. Don't expect to be treated well here. Since this is a job that anyone can do, management will advance those who are their favourites.

The culture is pretty bad. Many people are not happy and therefore the place is not enjoyable to be in everyday. You will start living for the weekend.

You will be working 60-70 hours a week during busy and this is not a choice. You will not have a life outside of work. The pay is very low but lots of overtime from Feb - Apr if that is what your looking for.
Pros
some people are nice
Cons
Company culture, low pay, no work/life balance

Zero experience team leader
Tax Process Specialist - Contract (Former Employee) –  London, ON22 June 2017
Team leader was very immature which made it very hard to any mature employee to find a balance or even security. If the leader(s) didn't appreciate you, you had no chances within the company. For a "successful" company, you would think that they would hire better leaderships. (not the kind that would talk behind your back).
Pros
Great learning experience
Cons
Poor leaderships
