Pure Technologies is a leader in the field of water and wastewater pipeline inspection and assessment, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Application Engineer to contribute to our growing business development team.
This key role in the business development team offers a creative opportunity to engage in the strategic and tactical execution of the pre-sales process that helps fuel and grow our business.
This position will be responsible for helping drive growth within key strategic geographies in North America through pre-sales activities such as client research and the creation of unique condition assessment solutions for municipalities.
Review and analyze solicitations (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, etc.)
Coordinate all final and budget proposal responses in support of business development
Review all bid materials, including contracts, pricing and technical components with a great attention to detail.
Manage research and data collection efforts to fully define customer requirements.
Prepare preliminary solutions for inspection services and engineering in accordance with applicable client specifications, recognized codes, standards, and recommended practices
Work as team across all engineering, business development and supporting disciplines to develop responsive Commercial and Technical proposal replies.
Ensure all bid inquiry deliverables are met with uncompromising quality and in accordance with applicable requirements
Gather key market research on target clients within specific geographies
Interact with potential clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Help establish company best practices and standards
University degree with preference given to engineering grads.
2+ years of experience with bid generation and submission processes for complex solutions.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
Ability to multi-task, be flexible and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Client focused; able to adopt client perspective in all interactions.
Working knowledge of common desktop software – MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Track record with pre-sales (account development, soliciting new business, etc.)
Experience with the bid / sales process within a municipality or consulting engineering firm
Experience with water and/or wastewater conveyance systems (e.g. pipelines)
Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
