Type: Full Time Permanent
Must have 3+ years of sales/marketing experience.
Some travel required
Competitive Salary + Benefits (Commission eligible after 6 months to one year)
Must have Food industry/Produce experience.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Works cooperatively with the Sales Support Specialists and the accounting department to process transactions accurately and efficiently and to assure the timely collection of accounts
  • Coordinates company product deals and I or programs - including selling inventory
  • Creates logistical possibilities to service client customers
  • Builds long-term customer relationships and provides top customer service
  • Strives to meet customers' needs in every possible way
  • Looks at customers' needs and coordinates the implementation of packaging ideas, as well as future Company opportunities
  • Builds long-term supplier relationships and provides the best possible service to meet the suppliers' needs; acts as a "Deal Manager" when assigned
  • Develops a sales plan (in advance) within the team to coordinate customer placement, prices, communication, product movement and trouble settlement
  • Sets the product price while approving any exceptions - including all adjustments (trouble and price)
  • Ensures product is placed with strategic customers
  • Coordinates product allocation across the sales team
  • Provides consistent, regular communication to sales team (re: deal as it progresses)
  • Communicates sales trends, inventory, quality and I or trouble issues, etc. sales team
  • Responsible to shipper and I or grower for returns and inventory movement
  • Ensures timely settlement of all troubles
  • Functional responsibilities coincide with length of deal (i.e., could be two weeks - one year), in addition to regular responsibilities
  • Shares customer needs and industry trends with the Sales Leader and the VP of

Marketing to expand the customer base through the efforts of various teams

  • Some travel required


  • Bachelors degree or industry equivalent experience
  • 5+ years produce sales experience
  • Proven track record and strong contacts with retailers, wholesalers and/or processors
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written and computer
  • Strong work ethic
  • Must be highly motivated and result oriented
