The Public Sector Digest is a monthly thought leadership publication with expert, substantive commentary on matters most pertinent to senior decision-makers at all levels of government.
Research analysts work under the direction of the publication’s Managing Editor. Responsibilities will include performing research specific to local, provincial/state, and national governments, and conducting interviews with public sector officials and subject matter experts. Research analysts review international media, government publications, and online databases, as well as attend conferences and lectures, to assist with the development of articles to be published in the Public Sector Digest. Research analysts will also contribute to business development for the publication through networking, social media, and other communications platforms.
Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree with a focus in journalism, social science, or business. Successful applicants will have strong verbal and written communications skills, and will be analytical and self-motivated.
Special consideration will be given to candidates who possess the following additional skills/credentials:
A masters degree in public policy/administration, economics, or political science.
Experience working in/with the public sector.
Experience working in/with the publishing industry.
Experience developing webinars and other web-based marketing strategies/platforms.
