We are looking for entrepreneurial minded Substation Design Engineers who are able to work under pressure and cover multiple disciplines within substation engineering. We are offering competitive salary compensation, profit-sharing and the opportunity to grow with the company.

Description: The successful candidates will serve as Design Engineer responsible for conceptual, preliminary, and final design of station projects 5 kV through 220 kV. Responsibilities include preparation of physical and electrical substation project designs and documents. Candidates must possess excellent communications, organizational and writing skills as necessary to support the design of major station projects throughout the country. Responsibilities also include multi-office coordination, estimating, and scheduling of activities related to station design work. Occasional travel is required.

Minimum Requirements: BSEE and P.Eng. license. 5+ years of substation design and project engineering experience in the utility engineering industry. Candidates must possess a solid working knowledge of substation design practices and be well versed in the physical and/or electrical design of substations and switchyards. Excellent communications, organizational, and writing skills are a must as candidates will be responsible for preparation of project design documents including general arrangement plans, conduit, cabling, fencing, grounding, and control building layouts as well as wiring diagrams and schematics, and the contracts and specifications to support procurement and construction of these types of facilities. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Adobe, ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical is required. Experience with SES and Bentley products is a plus.
