Personal Asst/Driver for a Great family
Personal Assistant/Driver (Former Employee), Ocean Isle Beach, NC – April 6, 2013
Pros: great kids and family, monthly trips, new cars every month, shopping, all meals, given extra cash
Cons: the down time between kids schedules, some days started at 5am and didnt end until 11pm, as many as 3 trips back and forth fom ocean isle beach to wilmington
Wake up at 5:00 and get the kids up and moving, prepare breakfast on the go. Get them to Wilmington by 7:30 for start of school. Take them out for light snack from school and then take them to sports and dance. Have dinner prepared at home or take them out for dinner after activities. Throughout day when kids were in school did many errands for family, – more... such as dry cleaning drop off and pick up, banking, grocery shopping. Pretty much anything that needed to be done for the kids and the family I did it. Kids received their drivers licenses in January 2012 so my position was no longer needed. – less

Couldn't imagine a better job!
Nanny (Former Employee), Evansville, IN – March 14, 2013
Pros: free lunch, down time during nap, having fun!
Cons: low pay, long hours.
I would care for the families two children throughout the day, from 7:30am until 4:30-5:30pm. The children were ages six months and three and a half when I started. I fed them breakfast, put them down for naps, played with them, helped them with tasks they may need assistance with, and kept them on schedule. There weren't many things that were hard – more... about this job. The hardest thing I could thing of would be when one or both of the kids were thrown off schedule, it tossed the entire day up, as well as their moods. The most enjoyable part was getting to see them learn and grow everyday that I worked with them. – less

wonderful family to work for in every way
Caregiver (Former Employee), Redding, CA – March 11, 2013
Pros: wonderful family which you became a part of
Cons: long hours
Wonderful family to work for! Kind, generous, appreciative, sense of humor and positive attitude. I did everything there was to do in a house/home and In caring for a wheelchair bound woman and her husband. their oldest daughter was our manager. She was very good to us and fair. We went thru numerous co-workers as it was a demanding job. The ones who – more... were up to the challenge and stayed made a good team. The hardest part of the job was that they watched the news about 10 hours a day. The most enjoyable part of the job was the couple themselves! I will always miss them. – less

Private Family
Caretaker (Former Employee), Denver, Colorado – December 13, 2012
Pros: free lunch
Cons: family hostility
The son who was paying me lived out of state and the woman lived with her "Dr." son here. There was always arguments between the brothers about money and what to pay me. At the end, I left because the out-of-state family wanted to have a bigger inheritance when this woman dies.

I still see her and take her out and she asks me what happened, but I never – more... tell her the truth. – less
