Our client is currently seeking a National Sales Manager. This is a direct hire and salary is 90-100k annually. Successful candidates will have the following qualifications and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible to meet agreed-upon sales objectives in the region together with local/global team
  • Identify and realize market potentials in the industrial and medical OEM market segments:
  • Manage existing accounts, develop and deliver on new growth opportunities
  • Identify new target accounts and come up with strategies and measures to gain access to those accounts
  • Negotiate key contractual aspects and determine rules of engagement with new key accounts
  • Achieve significant growth in sales across a variety of accounts covering all major product groups
  • Oversee pricing strategies and margin management across product lines
  • Lead / guide / work with inside sales team
  • Consolidate various regional market trends on a product / technology level into a cohesive strategy and influence product development direction within company engineering
  • Assign objectives and responsibilities for direct reports and track progress on a regular basis
  • Maintain close coordination with Regional Manager as well as European counter-parts on progress with certain key accounts within territory, facilitating decision making within production entities
  • Establish targets/budget figures for directly managed key accounts and continuously report progress on an account level

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multiple years of local market expertise, preferably in the pertaining industry / market segment
  • Strong focus on the North American interconnection market, i.e. cable, connector, assembly
  • Proven track record in growing the business in a certain region or for a certain product/division
  • Good understanding of technical interconnect knowledge (design / electrical parameters / materials etc.)
  • Authentic, loyal and integer personality with good reputation in the industry
  • Structured problem solving capabilities, self-motivated and organized personality focused on accomplish-ing objectives as well as ability to manage assigned budgets
  • Experience in working within global enterprises, across multiple cultures and several international facilities (North America, Europe, Asia) would be preferred
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills; familiar with common IT-software (MS-office, SAP, etc.)
  • Language skills: native in English, French / German is considered an asset
  • Education: master/bachelor in business, mechanical or electrical engineering and/or equivalent education
