Prince Albert Pulp Inc.’s vision is to be a world class dissolving pulp mill, producing 650 tonnes per day with a staffing compliment of approximately 250 employees in a unionized facility. Prior to start-up of a fully operational pulp facility, the site is producing green energy through the combustion of waste wood and sludge residuals and then selling the generated electricity back to the power grid.
Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, this position will be responsible for the design engineering and project management (support or lead) for assigned electrical/systems projects. Duties also include management of contractors and leading in the development of the engineering and maintenance systems to support a world class manufacturing facility.
- Coordinate with customers to obtain and develop engineering projects
- Prepare proposals and engineering estimates
- Plan schedules, design task and project execution
- Prepare project scoping documents and capital cost estimates
- Prepare engineering reports

The successful candidates possess an Electrical Engineering Degree and are eligible for certification as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan with three or more years of engineering experience in a pulp mill or similar industrial setting. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, be self-managing with the ability and desire to work interdependently with others. Familiarity with PLCs, software systems, DCS, and power systems engineering are highly desirable. Candidates must also possess design engineering experience and project management experience and knowledge.
