Prince Albert Pulp Inc. will be in a refurbishing and construction phase for the next 12 – 18 months and when complete will operate a world class dissolving pulp mill producing 1000 tonnes per day with a staffing compliment of approximately 250 employees in a unionized facility.
Reporting to the Plant Engineer, this position will be responsible for the design engineering and project management (support or lead) for assigned electrical/systems projects. Duties also include management of contractors and leading in the development of the engineering and maintenance systems to support a world class manufacturing facility.
The successful candidates will possess an Electrical Engineering Degree and be eligible for certification as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan with three or more years of engineering experience in a pulp mill or similar industrial setting. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, be self-managing with the ability and desire to work interdependently with others. Familiarity with PLCs, software systems, DCS, and power systems engineering are highly desirable. Candidates must also possess design engineering experience and project management experience and knowledge.
