As Fanshawe College continues to undergo exciting development, expansion, and growth, the Senior Facility Operations Manager will play a critical role in; effective planning, management and stewardship over all activities associated with facilities operations and maintenance over a multi campus setting. As the successful candidate, you will be accountable for; operations and maintenance management, building, mechanical and electrical systems functionality, minor infrastructure renewal and major equipment replacement, as well as environmental support services. The Senior Facility Operations Manager will assist the Executive Director with the emergency preparedness plan, emergency response, and business continuity.
As the successful candidate, the Senior Facility Operations Manger will be required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science or Engineering Science, combined with P. Eng and current membership with the Professional Engineers of Ontario. This critical role requires 7 plus years experience in a major institution with relevant facilities operations experience and solid understanding of fire and safety legislation, codes, regulations, standards. The Senior Facility Operations Manager must also possess an understanding of maintenance work order systems, custodial operations, HVAC systems, as well as plumbing, electrical, security, telecommunications, and life safety systems. The successful candidate must be well spoken, possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as great interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple departments College wide.
