Focus: Software Sales
Type: Full-time, Permanent
We have an immediate requirement for a Sr. Account Representative in our Calgary, AB head office. You are responsible for managing all aspects of the sales cycle and can work on your own. You are not afraid of cold-calling to identify new prospects and key decision makers at the managerial and C levels of mid to large corporations. Your soft-selling approach and relationship building techniques are what made you a successful and credible sales professional. You are an energetic, hard worker, well organized individual who can work with minimal supervision, but understands the importance of team work and ongoing communication. You prefer the more flexible, less structured and quieter environment of a small company to the many co-workers, well structured and buzzling environment of a large corporation. You are used to earning a fixed + variable income, and you are constantly seeking to exceed your own expectations.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Research, identify, and secure new qualified prospects to maintain a growing pipeline.
Sales of Document Management and Workflow software solutions mostly to new customers.
Conduct presentations & product demonstrations.
Research new markets, prepare & attend trade shows.
Help develop marketing strategies.
Reports to the President.
3 - 5 years sales experience, at least 1 year selling software solutions into large accounts.
Experience in cold calling, Solution selling/Relationship selling.
Knowledge of Document Management technologies (Document Imaging, Workflow, EDM) an asset.
Knowledge/understanding of Accounting and Oil & Gas industry operations a definite plus.
Excellent Computer skills in office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must “fit” in small company environment, team spirit.
Some travel expected.
Excellent presentation skills, selling to middle & upper management (Managers and C level Executives).
Excellent written communication skills, ability to prepare proposals and RFP responses.
Self-starter, “fire in the belly”, hungry for success (expectation is to exceed quotas, not just meet them).
Excellent organization skills, ability to react to the pace and sudden change in directions inherent to small companies.
Total income from a base salary plus commission model.
You will receive a competitive base salary and sales commission that will truly reflect the results of your work. A comprehensive benefits package is also available. You will be eligible to participate in Powervision’s Employee Profit Sharing plan after one year of employment.
