Fleet, Facilities & Warehouse Department
Reports to: VP of Operations

Job Type: Full Time/Regular

The Procurement Supervisor at PowerlinePlus Ltd. oversees, manages, directs and controls the activities of purchases for the facilities, fleet and warehouse department. This role involves a high level of supervision and coordination responsibilities addressing all department purchasing facility needs. The Procurement Supervisor participates actively and maintains ongoing relations with all the warehouse staff, department leads and management.


The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • 5+ years’ experience as a procurement supervisor is required. Must demonstrate ability

and experience at a senior level and comprehensive knowledge of procurement

  • The designation Supply Chain Management Professional (S.C.M.P.) or registration in

the educational program of the Purchasing Management Association (PMAC) of
Canada considered an asset

  • Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) considered an asset


  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the purchasing activities for the civil and

electrical departments

  • Develop purchasing policies and procedures and control purchasing department budget
  • Develop and implement an effective inventory system
  • Coordinate rubber glove change
  • Identify vendors of materials, equipment or supplies
  • Evaluate cost and quality of goods or services
  • Negotiate or oversee the negotiation of purchase contracts
  • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute


  • Review and process claims against suppliers
  • Assist the fleet and facilities supervisor in planning, organizing, directing, controlling

and evaluating the operations of facilities, maintenance and warehouse

  • Assist the fleet and facilities supervisor in managing staff in the warehouse department
