JOB OVERVIEW:

Civil Department
Reports to: Civil Supervisor
Truck Title: Water Truck Driver
Pay Rate: $20/hour Full/Time Regular, Non-Union

The various drivers’ at PowerlinePlus Ltd. are accountable for operating heavy trucks to transport goods and materials over urban routes. Drivers participate actively and maintain ongoing relations with the co-workers and Civil Supervisors.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Completion of an accredited driver training course of up to three months duration,

through a vocational school or community college is required

  • A DZ or AZ license is required to drive the water truck
  • Air brake endorsement (Z) is required for drivers who operate vehicles equipped with

air brakes.

  • Additional licensing endorsement or certification may be required to drive articulated

trucks

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate and drive special purpose water truck
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargo

  • Report to directed Civil supervisor for daily work plan and perform other activities as

directed
