-work schedule is great -ever changing work environment helped me grow professionally and personally with all types of people and work conditions -hardest part of the job is the work shift when on shift, 2 days and 3 nights or 3 days and 3 nights, constantly disrupting sleep schedule but 5 days off In between shifts is nice

Saskatoon sk - Backup operator (Current Employee) – Saskatoon, SK – 9 December 2016
A typical day at work usually starts with a tool box meeting then going underground to your designated mining machine and as a 3 man crew operating the miner and conveyors cutting for the shift. In my time here ive learned alot about mining, safety, life in a union job.Co workers work together to get the job done like any other job there are great guys there and some not so great but everyone does there best to work together. Management is quite different from any place of worked before.Working shift work and the conditions underground are probably the hardest aspects of the job.The most enjoyable part would be everything is scheduled.
