The Port Coquitlam Sports Alliance (PCSA) has a signed contractual agreement with the City of Port Coquitlam to serve as the official representative voice for Port Coquitlam Community Sports Organizations. The Alliance’s vision is “Strengthening Our Community Through Participation In Sports”. PACA represents the interests, goals and objectives of Port Coquitlam Community Sports Organizations; and advises the City on all matters affecting sport in the community. The Board of Directors of this non-profit entity is recruiting a professional and talented Executive Director (ED) to launch and lead the Alliance.

The Board of Directors is seeking an energetic entrepreneurial Executive Director to oversee all aspects of the Alliance and work with the Board in making the Alliance the best in Canada. The position requires an individual with strong leadership capabilities who excels at working within a team environment and an ability to build relations amongst sport, municipal government and business environments.

Working with a very committed and experienced Board, and the Port Coquitlam sport sector’s contingent of dedicated volunteers, you will be the spokesperson for Community Sports Organizations in Port Coquitlam. The ED will provide the leadership and vision to establish the Alliance as the pre-eminent sport representative groups in BC. Key responsibilities will include assisting the Board to implement a corporate vision and strategic plan coupled with the policies and objectives to ensure that corporate mandates are delivered for the community. Additionally, through consummate relationship building and team strengthening you will lead the Port Coquitlam Sports Alliance to create and sustain a positive, nurturing sport brand, and a culture that achieves financial and operational success. You are an accomplished sport or community non-profit executive who is passionate about sport, recreation, people development and community engagement. The preferred candidate has a relevant university degree and combined experience. The ED selected will commence work effective September 2012.
