A rapidly growing event planning firm is seeking a full time Event Coordinator for an immediate opening.

The successful candidate will be interested in working in fast paced and busy environment with the ability to work flexible hours and on weekends during our busy season.

- Experience in Event Planning
- University Degree/College Certification in Hospitality, Event Marketing, or Event Planning
- Well versed in Microsoft programs including Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, and Word
- Experience working with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop an asset
- Experience in Event Planning
- Strong organizational skills, presentation skills, and decision making skills
- Adept at multi-tasking
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a high stress environment
- Previous work experience with children an asset
- Previous work experience in marketing an asset
- Must have own vehicle

- Creative Development
o Create client proposals related to job products
o Work closely with event vendors
o Negotiate prices with vendors
o Present and manage budgets in Excel
o Develop line of event products

- Sales
o Assist in client meetings
o Assist with account management

- Operations
o Obtain and manage vendor contracts
o Procure & hire event staff
o Plan production schedules and critical paths
o Attend site inspections and create site plans
o Arrange all logistics for event product deliveries
o Coordinate payment of suppliers & staff
o Create vendor purchase orders

- Production
o Lead Manager for onsite events
o Liaison between clients, vendors, and staff
o Troubleshooting
o Coordinate set-up & strike

- Administration
o Act as assistant to the Marketing Manager
o Assist with marketing projects
