PLENTY CANADA is a registered non-profit organization that facilitates access to and shares resources with Indigenous peoples and other community groups around the world in support of their environmental protection and sustainable development goals.
*Work Tasks and responsibilities*: Work with senior Plenty Canada staff to produce educational pamphlets, newsletters, web up-dates, and organize public and fundraising events and research issues for the communication and community outreach. Other duties include answering phones, data base management, web site updates, organizing public service announcements, and assisting communications staff as required.
*Fields of studies*: Communications, Marketing, Community Relations, Web and Graphic Design, Event Planning & Fundraising, Documentary Production, Technical Writer Program, History and English all bring skills to the job and gain valuable experience from working on this position.
Wage Rate: $10.25/hour
Length of Work: 16 weeks
Hours: 35 hours/week
Start date: Negotiable

- are between 15 and 30 years of age;
- have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;
- are Canadian citizens or permanent residents or have official refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (foreign students are not eligible); and
- are legally entitled to work in Canada, according to relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
