Our Company...

Founded in 1971 to advance the struggle for sexual liberation, Pink Triangle Press is Canada’s leading LGBT media organization. PTP publishes DailyXtra.com and the Xtra publications in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. PTP also operates the gay adult dating website Squirt.org, the travel website DailyXtraTravel, and has produced a number of television projects, including the travel show Bump! and The Gayest Show Ever.

Our Culture...

We believe in flexibility, and the celebration of individuality here at PTP - and we think our organizational culture reflects that! We have a casual dress code, a friendly atmosphere, and where the position permits we have flexible hours. We believe in being good at what we do, and working hard – but that fun can be had along the way. We have an attractive benefits package, an Employee and Family Assistance Program, and a company-matched pension plan.

We believe in the power of communication (after all, it’s what we do!), so we put lots of effort into involving employees and keeping them informed. From our interactive quarterly town meetings, to staff, social, and health and safety committees, employees have lots of chances to get involved. Managers at PTP like to keep their doors open – both literally and figuratively.

And last, but certainly not least, we love having fun here at PTP – we hold great parties, the lunch room is a great place to get a good laugh, every year we have a mandatory fun day (yes, you MUST have fun!), and tickets and passes to events are consistently up for grabs.

You do not need to be a part of the LGBT community in order to work here – allies are absolutely welcome to apply. PTP is committed to Employment Equity, and to providing a fair and equitable work environment (as well as a fun one!). We encourage applications from women, Aboriginal people, those living with disabilities, and people who are visible minorities.
