The Physiotherapist is required to maintain a flexible schedule of 2-3 days per week (daytime hours) in order to provide in-home physiotherapy services for clients who live throughout Dartmouth, as well as Halifax. Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Physiotherapist is responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based, physiotherapy services to patients/clients referred through PhysioCare At Home. As an inter-professional health-care team member, the Physiotherapist applies clinical expertise and professional competence in the assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education and follow-up of patients/clients. The Physiotherapist also provides education and clinical expertise to individuals and families within the community as required and collaborates with community agencies in the delivery and promotion of primary healthcare services. The Physiotherapist exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the mission and vision of the company, and exemplifies: Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Accountability and Leadership.

 Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists & malpractice insurance.
 Well Experienced with geriatric population.
 Specialty training and/or interest in certain areas of practice may be an asset.
 Current BCLS certification required and First Aide, as appropriate.
 Interact positively with patients/clients, families, other health care providers and staff.
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while effectively planning & organizing care.
 Ability to be flexible and adjust to the changing needs of the service and the program/facility.
 Computer skills – Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – E-mail – Internet – Meditech.
 Physical and mental capabilities to perform the duties of the position, including working alone in the community or home setting; working flexible daytime hours; traveling within the HRM District (Dartmouth & Halifax).
 Valid Nova Scotia driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle.
