No one should work at Phocus. Even if desperate for a job and the option is starving to death, stay well clear of these people.
As with most places, there are some good people working here, but there are enough bad apples to spoil the whole basket.
As a 3rd party call center (outsourcer), they are paid by various companies to answer calls and provide sales or customer support. What they do not tell their clients is that they are claiming payment for the same employees on multiple, unrelated campaigns, and putting the blame squarely on the employees when they cannot meet their target numbers due to employees working for multiple clients at the same time.
Also due to them being a 3rd party call center, they are unable to resolve many problems that customers have, as the companies who hire them give them no tools to use or power to make decisions. Most customer complaints are dealt with by referring to Terms of Service and similar documents as Phocus cannot be bothered to take the time to try and solve issues with the companies who hire them.
Actual management might as well not exist in this company; any real information that employees need to do their jobs is gotten from senior agents, since information supplied by actual supervisors is usually incorrect (and the employee is the one who will suffer the consequences if he or she chooses to use the wrong information they provide).
Complaints and suggestions are met with threats if not outright dismissal, and the dishonesty goes even deeper. After announcing that senior agents and management were getting Health benefits, the first 2 employees to actually use said benefits were immediately terminated for extremely questionable reasons. It appears as though these benefits were added on for appearances only, as using them means you lose your job.
Stay away from these people, stay far, far away.
